Having been "off colour" for the last 5 days I haven't taken much notice of the weather, but today I've looked at the Garden Weather Station which tells me the highest temperature today being 59f, the winds switching constantly from the SouthWest to the SouthEast, and we've had, so far, a total rainfall of 4.3mm.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

              Hi,

Dull; dark and miserable all day here and the weather hasn't been much better. :yahoo:

A knock on the door at dinnertime; guy pushing a security system; details taken and for once at the door yes we're interested; a few minutes after he departed a phone call asking how we rated the guy and yes he was fine; a couple of hours later a guy arrived and discussed all the details and as were seated he finally got to the bottom line; after oxygen we recovered and he departed; at 6 o'clock we had the survey carried out; the system is being installed on Friday.

State of the art CCTV can be viewed from anywhere in the world via a smart device; 4 top class cameras at 5 meg with zoom that can show windows a long way away. Two cameras back and two cameras front crossing each other giving maximum coverage of viewing area. I intended installing a security system myself so the knock on the door was timely; expensive indeed but so is a burglary; we asked if the cameras could be coupled to a high power laser but unfortunately not.

So far so good and we're now looking forward to the installation.

              Kind regards, Colin.

Part of my work, Retired, before working for the Judges was reviewing security systems with the Police and as one worn, burly, hardened, Police Officer said to me with a frustrated grin "all this technology, and all it takes is a Ski Mask". A lot of my work took me into the Salford Quay area in Manchester where a lot of the commercial companies had their cameras stolen, while being burgled, and that included those on the highest point of masts or roofs.:wallbanging:

@Retired I have cctv and 8 cameras and I believe that they do stop mischief makers. Which is sufficient for me because I do not live in a tony area. It's nice to see who's ringing the bell before scurrying to the front door too.

Serious burglers wouldn't be deterred but they wouldn't be bothered coming here either. ;)

Grandkids love seeing themselves walk to the front door on replay too

I hope your colour is much better now @ARMANDII and you can venture into the garden with a cuppa. :)

After a warm and sunny weekend the weather was back to grey today, with showers of rain as a bonus. :doh:16C/61F

Snap @Logan , I have just hung out two machine loads. :dbgrtmb: Now to keep a watchful eye that there are no bonfires from the allotments....I do love my laundry to smell nice I add in- wash fragrance boosters, anti bacterial final rinse and fabric conditioner...and then a big smelly fire is lit!:wallbanging:
