Hey- I planted 2000 bulbs today, various types e.g Tulips, Muscari and so forth. God, i find it so hard to get them inbetween the plants that are still standing and i'm sure i've spliced off some of the Lilly bubs, as i have lots of lillies growing in my garden! I find navigating what's already in the ground e.g crocus from previous years and finding the right spot to plants the bulbs a nightmare! Anyway, in my haste, i planted some of the medium sized Alluim's egg Purple Sensation, not as deep as i should have..i think around 3 inches with some of them. Does this have a significant affect on them growing in spring? Thanks

Well, you should get away with it depending on the size of the bulbs, Shane. I plant large/medium sized from 4" to 6" deep and Fritillaria up to 18" deep.

Purple Sensation is a very nice Allium, so that's a good choice.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Let us know how you get on, Shane. Nothing is certain in gardening and you get success in areas you don't think you would and losses when you think everything will be fine:wallbanging::gaah::heehee:..........but that's gardening, just enjoy it all.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:
