I have just ordered three new roses, (bare root). Claude Monet. Clg. 15.45
Royal William. Bush. 11.95 & Comte de Chamberd. 15.45 From Peter Beales. They are doing a 35% discount at the moment.

Having dealt with Beales in the p[ast, I certainly recommend them. No problems if you are not happy. Perhaps this is a general trend but, I have noticed that Beales prices have gone up since Peter passed away. Such a sad episode. Firstly, Peter's wife passed away, then suddenly daughter Amanda died then Peter. Leaving the son to carry on the business

Great mate. Takes me back. As a traffic cop, I often visited the central garage. My senior mechanic was like compo from 'Last of the summer wine. He truly was the goods. If you wanted your police bike to respond to Litze Hungarian rhapsody . he would come up trumps. His side-kick was an ex RAF fitter mech. I have so many memories of those days. I believe these two guys left Triumph engineers standing. Some years later, I was working on the GLC parks Dept. One of our tractors was playing up. So a mobile mechanic was sent out.

Bloody hell Mike. I never thought I'd see you again. This was my old friend from central garage

We had Comte de Chambord, and it was a lovely rose, that unfortunately we had to leave behind on one of our moves...
