You can tell when it is sunrise this time of year as hunting season has started and you hear the gunfire in the distance. They cannot shoot near houses nor in orchards so we are safe being surrounded by thousands of orange trees. Means lots of little furry critters are safe too.

Many thanks wiseowl my good friend; I hope your feathers aren't becoming too ruffled or wet in your aviary if your weather has been like ours overnight and this morning.

Both Gale & Blackie graced us with their presence once again; everything outside soaking wet and for the second consecutive morning I've just been out to pop more sections of our neighbours gutter back over the fence. Gale enjoys trying to blow our bungalow from the exposed valley side whilst her brother Blackie tries his best to float our bungalow to the valley bottom; it was grim again last night but with a bonus too; it's cleared lots of leaves.
