Yes it's like for most of them, they have troubled personal life. With him he was trying to keep from the public about his sexuality. One thing that didn't help was him having 2 names,his own name and his stage name. Also he lost some very important people in his life.

I wasn't a George Michael fan, but it's very harsh to say he was a loser Colin. He had a lot to cope with, which is hard for us normal folk but more so if you are constantly being followed and hounded by the press.

It goes with the job Upsy; my job of 24 years before retirement was extremely stressful but I wasn't gay or paid anything like these "Stars" I didn't resort to drink or drugs I just suffered the job day in day out and could never switch off; I wasn't hounded by the media and this I agree with but at work I was hounded with three departments; three desks; five phones on the desks and a pager meaning absolutely no hiding place and I was even handed a mobile phone at one point this being the size of an house brick; due to all the metal around it didn't work. I worked through it for a pittance. These stars get too much money too quickly and don't know what to do with it?

But I still think these 'stars' have a tough time of it Colin, most of us can say we had/ have stressful jobs...but I still think it's nothing in comparison to those in the public eye. They certainly pay the price for their fame and and fortune. The world would be very dismal indeed without their music/ songs and films. To quote Abba ...I say...Thank You For The Music.
