I see that the Met have again quickly dispatched another terrorist. Top work by our boys in blue.

 

....why say that FC...what difference does that make?? Utterly horrendous for those involved wherever it happens.

 

I know the area quite well, but these days it makes no difference. My Grandparents came from the area and one of our sons lived there for a while 12 yrs ago when he first went up there, all our sons live in different parts of London as do most of our extended family. No part of the capital is a stranger to such sadness now.

 

Mr. Khan has praised the emergency services and stated that terrorists will never win - he seems to say this a lot - with little evidence in the media that he is taking direct action.

I may be wrong - but from what I can see - he is fairly ineffective.

God bless the bobbies - keeping us safe.

 

One word comes to mind, "Racist".

Clamp down on the bar stewards and you will be classed as a racist.

Until that changes, it will go on.

I'm just wondering how much it costs to have police watching these people, how many more are wandering the streets with police tailing all the time.

 

True but they could be doing other things, like catching burglars etc.Which we haven't got enough coppers to do apparently, so that kind of crime gets less resources.

Bit of a strange attitude.

 

Knee jerk legislation is not necessarily good legislation.
Although the government will probably end early prison release; what they, almost certainly will not do, is provide the necessary funds to ensure that the prisons are sufficiently resourced to keep these prisons securely and safely, nor will they fund reeducation/rehabilitation programmes for them.
