Since our last update of how the garden was, my lovely weed beds have got really strong Nettle growth all around the whole garden now. Sad that I can no longer keep this under control as I did in the past.
Aspect is east to west, fence to house and it loves to grow fast and strong weeds. Bramble seems to get going amongst the roses too.
Wife has had a go, but again with all the other tasks she has on the go. TO MUCH for her.

Hi landimad, sorry to hear about your problem. I grow Nettles, on purpose,in one area for the Butterflies, etc, but have to use Weed Killer to keep other self sown Nettles under control. Nettles will also spread via underground runners and it is difficult to pull them all out, which is why I use Weed Killer as a specific narrow spray on a windless day or if it's in a place too close to a cherished plant then I paint the Nettles or whatever is in the wrong place with an Artist Brush. I also treat Couch Grass using the brush.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

It doesn't help that everything is growing so strongly at this time of year landimad. Weed killer as Armandii has suggested will be the easiest way to deal with the nettles and brambles. I know it must be difficult for you to see the garden untidy but if you can manage a little here and there over time it will make a difference. :)

Each of the assistance is grateful, but the little that I do now opens up the beds for more weeds to grow. As the old saying one years seed means seven years weeds. Keep plodding along.

Perhaps as you weed parts of the bed you could put in ground cover plants to keep them at bay.

Liking the sound of that, but with so many out there I would not know what to choose.
If I have to get down to it that will not happen now.
We have the sun from first thing in the morning till about 1430 hrs as it passes the yard arm, then I do not know after that. Tots poured and Up Spirits chaps.
