Can anyone identify this plant ( weed)

Please can anyone identify this plant/ weed which is quite a spreader .
Its growing in the woodland borders of some local gardens I volunteer at
( Denzell Gardens ) .

 

Looks like Circaea lutetiana ..... common name enchanter's nightshade.

Test...pull one out...does it have pure white long roots?

Impossible to get rid off by weeding.
Roots snap..it will re grow.

In our Welsh garden we hand cleared a small alder wood with a stream of ALL brambles and ivy and created a woodland garden...growing many Rhodo's, Azalea, Acers, Hamamelis, Lindera, Magnolia, Daphne, Euonymus, and other woodland treasures..trillium, erythronium, corydalis, paris, ferns, daffodils, hellebores, hostas, primula, polygonatums, disporums,cyclamen, polygonum, disporopsis, aconitums, Lysichiton, epimediums, brunnera, vancouveria, arisaema, dicentra, orchids, including rare rare plants many will never have heard of etc etc.

Some people collect stamps..we collected plants!

On the banks of a ditch this weed grew in a tiny patch.
Hating chemicals I was sure I could get rid of it by removing every scrap.
Years late we moved, leaving behind an enormous patch of this blinking weed.
It loved the shady, damp, leaf mould soil .
I suggest you resort to chemicals.
