    What is the yellow flower. I have a wild flower area at back of garden.

      Lysimachia punctata and whilst it may be found growing wild it is a garden escape.

        A bit of a thug in my humble opinion. Spreads like mad, though not as violent as its coloured variant, Firecracker. That one took me over 5 years of weeding out and Roundup to get rid of.
        Creeping Jenny is another thug if it likes the situation. Needs damp soil to really go mad.

        We have Firecracker. As Palustris says, it spreads like mad. People seem to want it so we keep ours in hand by digging lots out each year, potting it up and selling it for charity. We always give a warning about being invasive but nobody takes any notice. :noidea:
