Hi everyone, my first post after introductions.

I spotted this mass of Nasturtiums last year (when I took the photo) and it really appeals to me as we have a similar spot in our front garden – I like a bit of wildness. I spoke to the neighbour of this house and she said she gave the houseowner some seeds which he just threw all over the place and this was the result. I have no idea what kind of Nasturtium they are but so far they have been there for two years. I thought they were sensitive to frost, etc. not perennial. Forgive my ignorance. Any help would be much appreciated!

Also what are the yellow flowers behind the wooden art installation? They also are quite nice.

      Hello @Randomangle
Nasturtiums aren't perennial the seeds must have over wintered then germinated in the spring.

Can't really see what the yellow flower is, could you do a close up of it? please.

I will try to get a better sized image Logan. If the seeds have over wintered does this mean that they will self seed continuously and provide plants for years to come? (Note my ignorance.)

I think they are cornflowers Logan, we have something very similar in one of our gardens.
