        No, I don't think so. My response was instinctive and sincere. I think it was a crap joke that to me seemed tasteless at a time when violence has often been threatened, and sometimes enacted, against MP's. It just isn't the sort of thing I think is helpful in the current climate. But if everyone else disagrees and thought the joke was great, guess what - its a free country (yes, whatever you think of "lockdown"!) so they are welcome to it. I couldn't care less about the responses I received - as I say, I am for free speech.

            That's not good. Sorry to hear this. I was abused a few times at work this week, for trying to take details for track and trace. A few customers didn't like it and became aggressive. You try to explain it is for their benefit but it cuts no ice.

              To be fair, it is water of a ducks back to me (I was a bus driver for years and did late turns, so have seen, heard and been called most of it), however one of my staff was also abused in the same email - - I simply do not tolerate my staff being abused, end of story. My team work hard for me and will pull out the stops when needed, so the least I can do is stand up for them and protect them whilst they are at work.
