      This topic is beautiful in many ways. Firstly, to see puppy photos... heartwarming! Secondly, to follow the adoption journey, and thirdly and importantly, to see how we handle sometimes distressing and emotionally charged discussions on this forum. It is very rare to see such a respectful, open and honest discussion nowadays.

      In spite of all that's going on at the moment, it's great to be here. :)

      And FC, if Boris delays the journey, don't worry. The day will come, and Little Mr Runeberg will just have had a bit more time to settle down. It'll be ok.

        @Fat Controller Even if there's a lockdown why would that stop you from getting the puppy. Is Boris going to put a restriction on how far you can travel? If not, aren't you able to meet at a park for the handover? Or is that too simplistic?

            Sadly, yes it is too simplistic - I would need to travel to the foster carers home, collect him in a secure way (bear in mind these dogs are rescues so are an extremely high flight risk), and if 'non-essential' travel is banned as it was previously... well, who decides what is non-essential?

              Well it would be cruelty to animals to let him get accustomed to the foster home for a month or more and then uproot him yet again.
