    Hi hope you're all well..-I was wondering if Crocus can still be planted into the ground? oh and Snowdrops...just discovered some bulbs in my room! I'm lovely Leeds

      Yep, Shane, the weather has been mild enough to keep the soil fairly warm for this time of year so you can go ahead and plant the Crocus. To be honest, I have around 250 Crocus bulbs arriving in the next couple of weeks so I'll be planting even later than you:doh::heehee:

        Oh brill! They're alot cheaper now too, so, that's ideal! I always assumed snowdrops had to be planted in like august!

          I had some crocuses arrive this week, and will pot them up this weekend. A couple of varieties have already flowered (autumn flowering ones), but they'll be in leaf in spring time.
          @Shaneoak Snowdrops are a bit more problematic as they dislike getting too dry over the summer. This is why many snowdrop suppliers sell them "in the green" in spring time. More specialist bulb suppliers lift and ship in summer, but ship in peat or vermiculite, in plastic bags with the advice to plant ASAP on receipt.
          However I would plant them and see what happens.

            That's how I used to buy mine, i.e: in the green, Nigel. But now I don't have to as they've all grown to a couple of thousand at the bottom of the "walk around" border.:hapydancsmil::coffee:

              Thanks. Ive got the snowdrops in ground..but not had time for the others. lets see if the snowdrops appear:)
