        Thanks @mazambo

        A bit pricey but their pot size picture is very handy indeed

        Just checked the latest price for my thirty x 30L treepots bought from Oaklandgardens on eBay a few years ago and they gone up by 46% (but still cheaper than Hartcanna), plus all sizes over 30L are OOS both on eBay and their own website. I've noticed a shortage of some pots this year.

        For 30L pots it's worth comparing the same sellers various listings as these Large Plant Tree Pot Container Plastic Handles Large Big 30 35 45 50 65 70 Litre | eBay are £37.97 for 10 when you select that size and quantity.

        And these same pots from same seller are £38.97 :rolleyespink: 10 x 30 Litre Plant Tree Pot With Handles Heavy Duty 30L Lt Big Large Plastic | eBay

              Thanks @Scrungee .
              Had a look at your links. Your right prices seem to have lept this year and everythings harder to find, especially bargains.
              Hopefully it all calms down again from next spring with more supply and better prices.

              @ricky101 Thanks

              Id forgotten about these. Have a dozen black and blue ones dotted about. Some with torn handles which will be fine for the gooseberries.

              Will keep looking for the biguns for the palms .

              Cheers guys :Wino:

              You too.

              I've got 13 of those tubs [1] and as mentioned above several have lost a handle (they don"t seem to lose a second one when you can't carry them around), so I was thinking of putting thick plywood pads both sides of the plastic side wall, screwing them together from both sides so they're tightly clamped, drilling a couple of holes through each one, and using rope knotted each end to make replacement handles.

              Has anybody else tried making replacement handles?

              [1] 30 x 30L tree pots, 14 x 25L pots, 13 x 40L trugs and 8 x 50L ex-glass recycling boxes and I still look for more bargain containers!

              Wish I'd got more of my neighbours' recycling boxes before our council replaced them with wheeled bins and took the boxes away. Saw a huge stack of them at our local tip, but they can't give stuff away. What a waste.

                When the handles break on my plastic trugs, I drill two holes about 50mm below the old handle and push 8mm plastic rope through tieing it on the inside. Works great :blue thumb: A penny washer on the inside would help as well.
                I have used trugs for years as big planters. You will find there are two qualities, one has thicker plastic which does help. Who stocks the thicker plastic ones, I don't know. Maybe a builders merchant would sell the thicker gauge trug?
