I just wondered if anyone know what this fella is? It has hugely long weeping branches and almond shaped leaves. It’s pulling over the fence and my husbands wants to take a chainsaw too it but I wonder if it would recover from such brutal action. I’m sorry the picture is rubbish as it has no leaves but it’s on the green mile! Thank you I. Advsnce

Just from the shape of the growth I'd guess something like beauty bush but the leaves are not fully formed yet and without seeing these or the flowers it really is just a guess.

Reminds me of a Gogi berry that I ripped out a while back, but really, apart from growth habit there's not a lot to go on.

I'm with Hubbs... Give it a right good cutting and if it's got anything about it, it'll come back neatly.
        Looks like a berry fruit..

          Goji berry.

It looks quite old considering the thickness of the branches.

Imagine a tree structure in your mind and prune to that potential shape.

Reduce the number of thick branches coming out of the stump and chop off at least two thirds of the height. Don't worry if you get it wrong as the plant is extremely vigorous and will grow back fast.

Thank you. I will. We inherited it and I think you are right, it’s been there a while. Some of the branches hanging down the back were 7m long. It’s huge!
