Do you really need that screwed on there?
You could put a few screws in the right hand side of the front board, looks too close for even an angled drill.

Stubby screwdriver.

 

Thinking of a angled ratchet screw driver. Or angled drill bit.
I think if it was. All done like the rest it would look nice

 

Just depends on how much you want to spent to srcew two pieces of wood on.

I presume you now have to work out how to get the pipe from the pump to the water feature so that its not too obvious.

 

thanks for your reply i was thinking of taking the pipe from the pump over the side nearest the fence so it goes around the side and back of pond to waterfall

or taking the pipe from the pump through the water inside of pond and over the back of pond near waterfall

not sure if there is another way of going it really ??

 

Not easy, for sure with a formal pond.

Maybe back RH corner, and under the raised up section you have along the back in the picture?

 

thanks for your reply i dont think i can go under the raised up section i have along the back in the picture as it is fixed it will have to go around the back of the waterfall feature some how ,

If you look closely - you can see the taddies - pic taken today. Threw is some taddy food and one came up and grabbed a mouth full straight away.

 

just a update really waterfall and waterbutt connected just got to deceide on plants due to problems with algae and get electrian in to put a socket in for lights

 

hi i am woundering if i can create a boggy area or something similar in a corner of the pond and how would i go about this ..

as i am looking for plants i have come across this and woundered if it would be ok for our pond which is 6 x 5 feet x 30 inch deep , do they have to go into a container pond ?

i know its early but thinking about fish i done a calculation on our pond in gallons and it works out at around 450 gallons so i was thinking how many fish like goldfish , shubumpkin , etc would be ok

Hi I have ordered some different plants for our pond but the water level to first shelf is 16 inch but having problems finding things situable for plants to stand on at height required.
Example if plant depth is 4 inch under water then I suppose I need to find a pot / something approx 12 inch high which is hard to find. I have looked. At mesh baskets and bricks but places with bricks it seems you have to buy bulk so not too sure

 

The water depth for marginal plants is not critical, as long as they are submerged most adapt to their depth.
I'm sure if you went along to a builders merchant they would sell you a dozen or so paving bricks.

 

Thanks for the reply I thought plants had to be a the correct level in a pond. If not why do they advise on zones and plant depth won't the plant drown.
With builders merchants etc I am not sure if I want to go into any where really due to covid as I am very nervous when I even walk the dog. So I try and get things I want on line shopping...

 

What I mean is that 2 or 3 inches in depth either way will make no difference.
