Camellias suspect i over watered

    im very said im suspecting i over watered...i dont want to loose my camelias..i removed all wood barks to make it dry more the camelias..see photos!! The plants seem still healthy i think..hope i dont loose them..the soil its very moist....first 3 photos my red camelia in new leaves seem dying..4 th photo my nuccio pe 1617814304877997167533.jpg 1617814304877997167533.jpg 1617814337653-1524017295.jpg arl! Any help ?

    Camellias like damp conditions, as long as the pots have drainage and you dont water until the pots are drying out they should be ok.
    Not sure they will like summer temperatures in Malta.

      but you think they still are ok? and i did good i removed the wood barks?..yes the pots have many holes in the bottom..but soil seems very moist :( :( :(

        They look fine to me...they can cope with rain as long as drainage is good. How old are they?
        Have they flowered this season?

        What is on the back of the leaves? Not eggs I hope....

          I dont think the white residue on the backs of the leaves is a problem.

          no its just dust :)... they are only 2 months only at me ..and i repotted them as i bought them..i removed the bark wood..and what you think of the tiny little new leaves falling :(..yes the red camilias bloomed only few flowers than the other flowers opened half and begin falling..and the nuccios pearl is opening flowers now..im afraid of overwatering..but plants seems still healthy..maybe till they settle ??? :( :(

          also i hade the wood barks put few days ago but i removed them becauce im afraid they keep them wet becauce soil is realy dropping moist..

          They are young and have chsnged homes are few times, the grower, the seller eg Garden Centre, and now you. They will take time to settle in. They will shed new growth first - if stressed a bit. Not to worry about that though,

          Wood bark is acid so it will benefit the plant and suppress weeds.

          But will keep moisture will not let soil dry out??

          Yes the bark chips will help keep the soil from drying out, you will still need to stick your finger in regularly to monitor.

          Thats why i removed wood barks to let soil dry out a bit!!! Its normal soil still moist after a week with no sun??

          As long as the pot is'nt flooded, the Camellia will be fine.
