    I agree with you, as i live a stone's throw away from one, our windows and cars are always covered in dust/straw (from when they bed down the cattle) in summer and poo in the winter, machines and frams have got bigger/faster no one wants to get out and clean up any mess they make, if it can't be done with a machine it don't get done so you get the dust :biggrin:

      Definitely looks like sand round here. All the farms have had their machinery off the fields for some weeks. Rape is in full flower now. :rolleyespink: Other crops are doing well but the giant farm sprinklers are on the go a lot as well.

        We have not had a southerly air low for weeks, basically since that short warm spell, since then the air has been coming from the arctic or Scandinavia, which is why there has been so many frosts this month.:smile:

        I'm a fair bit away from farms,(and getting further away each day due to house building), but I still get a fine layer of dust, I'm thinking it gets way up into the atmosphere, could even be coming from Europe.

          That can happen with sand dust from the Sahara as it can travel in the upper air flows and then back again. Just like someone when they're drunk! :roflol:
