Solved Are these weeds?

Hello everyone, I thought these were just pigeon-flattened old daff leaves until I got up close, I think they are growing like this and seem to have flower/leaf buds in the centre. No idea if I should leave them or pull them up, any ideas?

good advice of course. I suppose I just wondered what they are in the meantime!

 

Try rubbing the leaves..if they smell of onions, they're alliums.

 

They look like bluebells to me, probably Spanish, as the buds seem to be evenly distributed around the spike...?

No discernible onion smell to the leaves.
Perhaps it is some late bluebells, although all the others in the garden have been up for some time. I know we're all supposed to hate Spanish bluebells but I will take whatever I can get growing - I still think they're pretty
I don't think they are actually flattened leaves, I think they're growing very flat. I'll keep an eye on them anyway!

 

Well, a little bit of growth on the squashed looking things (do we still think bluebells?) Pleased to see the poppies starting to come out. Assume this purple flower is a type of thistle?

Ah how lovely, cornflower seems obvious now! Haven't had one in the garden before.
Will continue to keep an eye on the other ones.

 

They have a habit of flopping over surrounding plants, especially when fully grown and after heavy rain.

 

They took their time but I believe these are bluebells albeit pink! Spanish?

 

Yes, looks like the pink form of Hyacinthoides hispanica to me.
