Cor, that was a rough night. But feeling much better this morning. I put my fast recovery down to the zinc, vitamin A and C and cod liver oil supplements that I take daily.

Funny side effect of a rash appearing on the inside of my arms, opposite the elbow - which have faded nicely now. I expect it to be gone by tomorrow.

Will be staying in for the next couple of days - whatever it was - it's not getting out of here.

Just got our notifications from local surgery that flu + Covid booster jabs start 9th October.

There's Covid next door, 4 doors along the street, and the property at the end of our garden, and probably more. It seems to be rife at the moment, and this is in a village not some virus ridden town or city.

People are catching it twice, a friend's husband caught it 12 months ago, then after getting both vaccinations he has caught it again recently. He isn't as poorly second time.

All around us, I see those people who furloughed themselves for 18 months, but then worked for mates, family members, etc., suddenly all going back to work at their original jobs.

Furloughed, taking rent and mortgage holidays and working cash in hand whilst the rest of us kept things running doing 16-hour days for 8-hour money. Been a blast this Covid thing, eh?

Is it safe to jump out of a plane wearing a face mask instead of a parachute? :yikes:

Slight difference is that you choose to jump out of a plane - you kinda have to go shopping at some point.

Just been reading a couple of articles where anti-vaxxers have passed over due to covid.

They are being told by both medical professionals and religious leaders that they should take the vaccine - but still won't accept it - it just makes me so sad.

It doesn't bother me, it's their choice.
When fantasy beliefs take over reality it's not worth bothering.
