Mum had a Trachycarpus in her greenhouse which I didn't realise.so it's leaves are brittle and very much browned off. The roots are firm and strong and I'd like to save it if possible. Any advice please.?

Stick it outside and give it a damn good watering. They're very, very hardy but drying them out could be the death of them. It has two options, live or die

Ooops not sure where the 18 ins came from , should have read 8 ins. It has been without water since September last year.

I cut all the leaves off , loosened some outside roots which were quarter ins to half ins thick. .it's now reported and a good rain water given. Also standing outside.

That small and I reckon it's become an ex trachy. I won't use the word dead, as i can't see it.
If you require a very small seedling to replace it, let me know. These things are popping up below one of my flowering ones
