Thanks @CanadianLori my nephew from Canada visited not long ago, if only I had realised. It seems we can buy it here on ebay at extortionate prices, I have some neem oil to use when they return to the greenhouse.

Not peppers , but the worst infestation I've seen in my garden of RSM this year is on Crocosmia which is permanently growing outside.
I dont think we can get Spinosad , But @noisette put me onto Nurelle D last year and I'm yet to see any in my greenhouse this year, after years of them overwintering.

@JWK spinosad is not available in Canada. I go down to the US to pick it up. Luckily I'm only a lead footed on 1 1/4 hour drive from the border and can just order it for delivery to a facility within a few miles of the crossing.

I don't know many Canucks who don't go across the border now and again to get the liquid golds they sell :) Your nephew could easily do the same. :blue thumb:

Hey @pete , if it fits under the car seat, it's allowed...

Actually, I have declared buying garden sprays and they never bothered to delve into it. These guys probably use it themselves! ;)

The time I brought back my pink bb rifle was amusing. All legal etc, but they were having a giggle. Probably not these days though now that the gangstas are packing pink glocks.

I'm noticing an increasingly large difference between my greenhouse chillies and ones I have been keeping inside my sun room. GH ones despite getting lots more light have a lot less fruit. I guess because overnight temps were so low in the gh in June and most of july compared to the sun room which probably hasn't been below 18c for a couple of months

                        Hello all,
We've been harvesting some chilis this morning. We had a label mix-up earlier in the season so my there's a good chance my naming could be wrong (please comment if you can help).

                            JWK,
You seem to have an amazing amount of fruit for the size of the plant.

Yes, if I had to guess, I would have said the same. The thing that puzzles me is that the fruit of the other type is very different from the Serenades I grew last year? Looking through my seed packets, I can't find a picture that looks like the ones I have. I have tasted them and they do seem fairly hot similar to Serenade.

I guess it doesn't matter really as they will all be used in the same way.

                            Thanks again for your comments.

                            Ademission

I lost a fair few leaves to spider mites so the plants look unbalanced. The top growth is gradually returning an tiny flower buds forming. It looks like after I harvest those ripe ones I'll have a lull.

Is that serenade from a supermarket chilli? I tried germinating some at the start of the season but decided I had too many plants allready. But when I was searching for info on it it looked like it was an F1, at least simpsons list it as such. Most supermarket veg tends to be f1 now. So amy offspring might be quite variable
