Sometimes we come across items we find may be of interest (that is not a joke) so thought I would start this thread.

I remember the beaches in Rimini Italy in the 60s and they had umbrellas and wooden deckchair type seating back then but in certain areas where you had to hire them for the day, the plebs, (us) just made use of a towel on the sand, but hire stuff was always way back from the sea.
They didn't have much in the way of buildings above about 5 storeys, as I remember it, but compared to Margate it was out of this world.

The distance between Copacabana Beach and Sugarloaf Mountain is 3 km. How do I travel from Copacabana Beach to Sugarloaf Mountain without a car? The best way to get from Copacabana Beach to Sugarloaf Mountain without a car is to line 2335 bus and line 107 bus which takes 32 min and costs R$ 9.

There are no old people either. It's not the kind of beach scene I remember. Parents wore their Sunday Best , dads wore suits and ties and us kids had hand knitted swimwear.
