    Good afternoon I planted 2 new Roses and transplantes 3 old Roses in to this raised bed:smile:

              Good morning @Sheal and thank you my friend yes Its always been a favourite of mine,I am going out to my friends Rose nursery to day to get some more I am just debating what to underplant them with:smile:

                Ooooo a rose nursery, that's not going to do your bank balance any good Woo. :)

                I think my over all favourite rose has to be 'Lucky!' It remained disease free and always gave a good display of lilac/pink flowers. It's a tall shrub with a good spread too.

                I didn't bother underplanting my roses as it would have made it difficult to replenish the soil with compost. For ground cover I would have considered Aubrieta having a choice of colours, or thyme, but that is limited to pink. Most rockery plants are low growing and create ground cover.

                  Good morning @Sheal my friend I only use annuals that way when its time torepenish the soil they have done their job and distracted a lot of pests and then removed:smile:

                  Yes "Lucky" is a lovely Rose its very much like a favourite of mine "Queen Elizabeth"

                          Good morning @Logan yes I did think of putting some Tagetes in amonst them and I might just plant a few Alliums which repel aphids, weevils, borers, and moles and can prevent them getting blackspot so they say:smile:

                              Good evening @Logan I'm not sure anything can stop it only the weather if its hot and humid and add to that rain then Blackspot will prevail all we can do is cut down the odds of getting it,and removing the soil at the base of our Roses where the spores can lie dormant over Winter and never water our roses from the top only at the base:smile:
