We had some rain about 4am ,quite heavy too. :dbgrtmb:
It's dry now and the sun is breaking through.
The current rain map is just missing us near the coast so I don't think we'll get any more

We've had no rain for over two months but just a short while ago we had some thunder and lightning with a few minutes of pitiful drizzle.

Stop Press:- We've just had a small flash of lightning but a roll of thunder that lasted about 10 seconds. No rain but :fingers crossed:

The garden is very unhappy at the moment.

This and the drizzle we had for a short while the other day is our first in 2months too...trouble is it just seems to evaporate and doesn't really sink down and do much unfortunately.Still better than nowt.

Hardest rain I've seen for some time, it's dark as night with lots of thunder and lightning.

You're unlucky @shiney . One of our sons lives in your area and he had a flooded patio and Niagra Falls from his guttering last week. It is very localised, if you look at our area's weather map it looks like we've had a good old dollop of rain.....in fact it's supposed to be happening right now but in real life we now have full sunshine.

Hazy sun and breezy, 19c going to 27c. No chance of rain here this month, next month, August ... the drought continues, the fires are starting ...

Thunderstorms overnight and what sounded like good rain. The patio is already dry so we didn't get enough.

Overcast, dry and a bit cooler at 17 degrees, not a breath of wind. The garden is buzzing with bees, honey and bumbles.

                          Certainly is!

We, finally, got rain 12 minutes of it but that's better than nothing and saves hours of sprinkler use. Our front verge was looking very poorly but I'm hoping the rain would have perked up the hundreds of poppies there. All were drooped half way down the stems and the flowers hadn't opened but I'm hoping they will open soon and I'll get my camera out. :)

That was a bit of a shower 22mm of rain in less than 45min.
