    Lovely day here, 24c until 8pm then started to feel cold as the sun set.

      It's been a lovely day today! Lots of sunshine & few clouds, a change from the last few weeks! :) The temps reached around 23C for some hours this afternoon but tomorrow they are forecast to get even higher! :) Tonight we are forecast a warmer night than we have had in at least 6 weeks with temps no lower than 17C! For the last week we have had day time maxes lower than that!!!

          Good morning everyone

          Well, here we are - summer has arrived at last - at least for a day or two!

          We have around 15C already at 6am! That's almost as much as what last Saturday's max was!

          We are forecast 26C as our max today! What a change from the last few weeks! Even Friday is expected to be quite warm before cooler air comes back to the UK and the weather returns to what has been our norm for the last 6 weeks or so, cloudy and cool with sunny intervals & showers.

            Yesterday afternoon it reached a muggy 25C and we were chased indoors by thousands of flying ants! Both red and black started emerging all at the same time, about 2.30, from dozens of ants nest all over the garden.

            Our solar panels gave us the best day's production for a month.

            Last night, when I got home around 11 p.m. there were no flying ants around but it was very warm and muggy.

            There's not a cloud in the sky this morning and it is already 17.5C.
