Oh yes, two cloves of garlic which I whizzed in the lemon juice . Could have used more but I say that about anything that uses garlic  . I don't know if the iced water makes a difference, I think it was a tip I picked up from maybe a Yotam Ottolenghi recipe. Next time I make it I'll use more garlic and probably more tahini too.

Tomorrow we have visitors. I've made some chicken liver pate (touch of brandy in it) and some melba toast as a light snack for when they arrive.

Sunday dinner will be home made cream of mushroom and courgette soup, flavoured roast chicken with home made gravy, very crispy roast potatoes, stir fried veg (onions, garlic, fresh ginger, mangetout, baby corn, French beans, white cabbage, mushrooms, thinly sliced Tian style courgettes and carrots).

This will be followed by a choice of tiramisu with Madagascan vanilla ice cream (not home made) or apple cake or a variety of fresh fruits with home made vegan coconut milk ice cream.

It is a family occasion. :blue thumb:

Nothing yet but will be toad in the hole. I'm also far happier than I should be to discover one of my saucepan lids fits my small frying pan perfectly which is going to be very helpful :)

Now I feel lazy because I just pulled a container of chile con carne out of the freezer. I do batch cooking and freeze things. I'm putting some fresh rolls in the oven shortly and have finished the marmalade. A nice pairing those two. :)

@Loofah it is always a bonus to find things that can do more than one task. :blue thumb:
