I once read that the average British woman is a size 16 and 5'4" tall (can't remember where, but it seems about right). Perhaps all women's clothing models should be that size. There'd probably still be complaints.

I dont really visit the countryside as its not easy to access around here in my opinion, Id have to walk about three miles to get there and then there would be nowhere you can access anyway, its all private land.
I'm better off for places to walk having a nice park than my sister who lives closer to the countryside but has just a few footpaths that you can walk without getting into trouble.

My dentist in the 80s must have been a Trump supporter as Drill baby drill was his motto, everytime I visited he'd drill massive holes in teeth that were not bothering me, about three every time.
Stupidly I thought he was a good dentist, but I think it was more about making money when I look back, as most people I know that never saw a dentist in those days still have a good few teeth, most of mine have been ripped out by the money grabbers.

Of course I've not had a filling or a tooth out in years since, and hanging on to what I have, but they dont drill like crazy anymore.

I'm not mentioning this for any other reason than its rattled around in my head for years and I don't really need it.

Queen victoria's circumference was greater than her height. I know she wasn't a tall lady but apparently around the bust she was wider than she was tall.

I wouldn't disagree with that and wasn't suggesting boycotts didn't work, they are great at putting pressure on certain companies and their connected allies, but they won't have as big affect on a countries trade.

There are some funny tesla stories. I've seen people adding stickers saying they bought it before musk went crazy, a couple of tesla cars found in rivers pretending they self drove there to commit suicide out of shame and people dumping rubbish on cyber trucks because they look like garbage lorries.

I haven't been to the dentist since i left school, my mother must of had share's with the dentist as the amount of sugar she would put in tea/coffee etc was to much, she would but 2 full teaspoons and the sugar bowl would bee right next to the cup so you would get 2 1/2 tea spoons with the extre bits following the spoon, same with butter, cream etc after a few years i couldn't even eat butter or cream with out being sick but mother new best!!!!! but i did cut down on the sugar from 2 1/2 spoons to half a spoon, anyway i only had 4 fillings when seeing the school dentist and i have never had any problems with the one's which didn't get holed and filled i've only had problems with the one's with fillings, filling have gone and the corners are brecking away but i don't go to the dentist i pull them my self as the last time i went i was out for the count because the injecions don't work for me so i have to have twice the amount to start even working, last time 3 jab's for 1 tooth and high as a kite :rolleyespink: weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Received my B&Q delivery of four buckets (stocking up since they are still just £1 each) and two bags of rotted manure.

The manure boasts of being 100% peat free.

Now how exactly does one produce 100% peat free manure? Run after the cows shouting "stop eating that, Betsy! Spit it out now! Now, I tell you!"

I believe the No.1 reason for child hospital admissions is tooth extraction. Tragic.

@pete, I think we had the same childhood dentist. I never ever had toothache but he would drill and fill none the less.

Often, by the time you get pain in a tooth, it is nearing being beyond repair ( apart from lengthy, difficult, and not always successful, root canal treatment) so best to get teeth fixed as soon as a problem is detected.
X-rays are invaluable for detecting decay before it has penetrated the pulp cavity, where the nerves are. Then the ideal is to drill out the decay and fill the hole, stopping the problem in its tracks.
If the decay reaches the pulp, with its nerves and blood vessels, the pulp reacts to the infection in the same way that, for example, a finger does, by getting red, hot and swollen. That’s ok for a finger, which will fight the infection and recover. Unfortunately, all the blood vessels and nerves in the tooth enter through a very small hole at the end of the root. So if the tooth pulp does the same, the swelling will stop the circulation to the tooth, which will die. The infected contents (pus) can then leak out into the area surrounding the root and result in an abscess, the easiest cure for which is to extract the tooth. - hope no one reading this was eating dinner!

Are you confusing grass and peat, Selleri? Peat is vegetable matter compressed in wet conditions over long periods of time. Cows eat fresh and dried grass (hay) and pellets. They poo....the result of that is manure So the claim of 'peat-free' is meaningless apart from jumping on the ecolo bandwagon
