Best determinate tomatoes to grow?

    Hi all,

    Im in the south west england. What are good types of bush/determinate tomatoes to grow in terms of flavour etc?

    I would suggest to have a look at Dwarf tomato project varieties.
    I found delicious: Purple Heart, Tasmanian Chocolate, Wild Fred, Shadow Boxing.
    This year I will grow Uluru Ochre.
    Another variety I liked - Lavender Lake - it didn't grow tall for me.

    I would be interested in blight resistance too. The best I have grown in that respect were Koralik but they weren't very sweet, though my husband likes tangy tomatoes.

    I'm wondering if UK would eventually allow Syngenta's Revus containing 250 g/l mandipropamid for sale to public (for the control of late blight). I went to Latvia (they are in EU and follow strict EU guidelines) recently, and Revus is available to buy for public. There are good reviews from people who used it last year too.

        Thanks JWK. Interesting that someone found Koralik bland. I think taste does depend on growing conditions a lot. Last year none of my toms were as tasty as usual.
