@Jiffy There wasn't any additional charge for actually creating new Wills which accurately represented what we asked for. Fortunately perhaps I had provided drafts of what the wills were supposed to look like.

Interesting that Queer and N****r are acceptable to those who count themselves as being in that category but not acceptable usage by "outsiders".
I think it's also time to get rid of the "White" tag ( unless referring to a pure albino ? ). We are all coloured to some degree when compared to a sheet of white paper (or even this computer screen  ).

You can actually write your own will without using a solicitor providing it is properly witnessed by someone professional - a list of those applicable is available - and correctly signed. However, that probably only works if the will is reasonably basic - complicated ones would require the relevant advice. It doesn't sound from the above posts that the legal profession is always the best choice.

@pete - I find it best to use the appropriate word so gay works both ways for me.

@Ergates - homo does indeed mean same and homo sapiens refers to the current version of mankind but too many people forget that that includes women who can also be homosexual as well as invisible.

@shiney no "Chairpersons" here in France or Belgium. We are presidents and I stll have to explain to some of our members that I preside but don't rule.

It does seem very wrong that a generic term "White' can be used for one part of the population, but it's not acceptable to use a generic term for any other skin shade.

Perhaps we should go for American Native "pale face" for those of us lacking colour pigments.

I can understand the original use of "pale face" when first used in N America but I don't think it would work these days as a true classification
As far as I can see, we all have some colour pigmentation to a greater or lesser degree so we can all be described as "people of colour" rather than just one section of the community which classifies their skin tone in those terms.
It's a bit like the gender issue - everyone has to have a label and this only helps towards division everywhere.
I suppose we should at least be grateful that Blue, Green and Purple examples don't yet exist within the human population.

That's just a paint job rather than actual tattoos. Very colourful tho

And a much better idea. Easy to get rid of when you get fed up with them , or when they go out of fashion. Imagine if we all committed to permanently sport the latest fashion or hairstyles! I might have been stuck in bell bottoms, cork platform sandals and Farrah Fawcett hairdo! Daft idea!

You do not need to be a professional to witness a will. But both witnesses need to witness at the same time. Me and hubby have just witnessed our friend's will.
