Another sunny morning overnight was 9c.

A few sunny days and the climate change bunch are all over the TV spouting about all the high temperatures we are going to get in the future.

Hot again. Back to something a bit more normal temperature-wise on Friday, but still no rain coming. Where are the April showers?

The guessers didn't lie. It is only 36f 2c and tonight will drop almost as low. They say we'll go up to 50f 9c today and it is cloudy but they're telling me that the free water won't be happening until tomorrow. With cool temps until next week and rain forecast for Thursday and Friday, I'm going to grab the opportunity to put some grass seed/black earth mixture on some bald areas of the lawn. Free water is always great and I like to get as much as I can out of it!

I will take a chance that there's not going to be any rain today and post my rainfall total for April - a measely 9.5mm (long-term average here for April is around 45mm. In April 2024 we had a whopping 84mm). That's on top of March 13mm and February 14.5mm. Whoever's in charge of the weather is doing a rotten job so far this year.

In a perverse sort of way I'm glad it's not just me that doesn't get along with hot weather.
