It’s a bit fresher this morning but max temp still forecast at 22 later. Cooler by the end of the weekend though. Can’t see any rain for next week yet.

Yesterday reached 29C here. This morning the sun has been dodging in and out of the very thin clouds. Sprinkler going. The plants are loving it and so are the blackbirds who keep running in and out of the water.

It was so warm last night that it was difficult to sleep. But now the cooler fresher air is most welcome.

Max 21c and still bone dry. The front lawn is crispy.

It is sunny at the moment and the guessers say we might get up to 60f 14c. We got a lovely run of rain yesterday afternoon and evening and I am quite pleased that my rain barrels are about 1/4 full now and the gardens don't appear thirsty any more. They say we'll get some more water later but I'm going to tempt the fates and get some wash on the line. Hmm, is that like washing your car or killing a spider? :)
