Good evening everyone. We bought a Sango Kaku Acer about 5 years ago and it’s been growing well (even though it’s not in the ideal place). There appears to be a couple of branches that do not have any leaves on this yet (see pic). One looks like it’s dead and the other is still reddish in colour. When can I lop off the dead branch. What about the red branch? I’m minded to keep that and see what happens next year. I guess it’s possible that there may have been some frost damage? What do you think? Many thanks, E
Hi still looking good , best to cut out the dead wood now as it wont reshoot and will stop any fungal infections, plus will make the over all appearance a lot better . lots could of happened , winter wind a animal climbing through it Spruce
