My dad used to keep bees and always looked forward to the heather flowering when he and his bee keeping pals would drive their hives up into the moors for the season. Heather honey was lovely and, towards winter, ivy honey came along. It was a bit of an acquired taste.
I buy honey from different plants in season so acacia, spring meadow and so on. I once bought chestnut flower honey and really did not like its strong flavour. @shiney I saw reports of him saluting the Saudis which is highy inappropriate for even an ex military president and we all know he's a draft dodger. He also needed guiding when he went off in the wrong direction. All this added to his recent incoherent rants and meandering musings indicate a case of brain decline beyond just his defective personality.
I'm not sticking up for anyone but given the age of the last two presidents and what the job entails, I'm not surprised either showed signs of fatigue. It isn't a 9 to 5 job, you get masses of information thrown at you daily, there is so much travel, meeting and greeting etc, that it must be exhausting. If you factor in certain personality traits and life style choices, it's easy to see why the odd moment stands out, especially with the eyes of the world waiting for it.
They're still young men and I also have a lot to do managing Shineyland as well as all the other organisations that I run. I don't get exhausted so have very little sympathy with him/them. If you're not up to the job then don't do it.
We have a very large heather that usually flowers from late December until mid April. The local bees seem to love it.
I agree with you should be fit for office and I don't believe either have been anything near being fit to run a country, or even a raffle tbh. It's not necessarily their age that is the problem but it must be a very stressful job which would impact on anyone. If you have a film crew following your every move, then you could shut your eyes for a moment and they say you were asleep, you could not know where you were supposed to head next and they claim you have cognitive impairment. I'm not suggesting that is what happened but it's easy to spin the narrative nowadays for either side. The problem is that there is 4 years of this to come.
I think Trump seems very energetic given his age and diet. There ought to be a cut-off age for standing for any high office though, given the demands, maybe 70 at the start of your term.
Even on the gof course he doesn't walk anywhere but uses a buggy so not physically fit. The Saudis rolled out a McD wagon to welcome him so he clearly is not worried about eating healthily. Add to that his girth and his essential body organs will be under stress and his brain struggling with the wrong kind of fats. No wonder he's confused and wobbly and incoherent. It will only get worse.
I don't necessarily agree. I know a number of people that are a lot older than Trump and are still running fairly large complicated businesses. David Attenborough is still quite active at 99. But they need to be fit for office.
America is a country of immigrants, but LEGAL immigrants who went through the system to become citizens. Biden allowed criminals to enter this country, they need to leave now. In any society there will always be people who do the grunt jobs then the next level jobs and so forth.
Lets see, Trump sleeps 4 hours a night and tires out the young ones on his Made it down the stairs very well etc.
Doesn't look too bad but on my big screen he seemed a lot slower than usual as he normally comes down much more steadily. I suppose age is having some effect on him. He's only a youngster as far as I'm concerned and I only get about two hours a night and certainly come down the steps on planes less hesitantly - and the commercial planes have higher treads.
@redstar There are many things wrong with Trump and his approach to what he calls the immigrant problem including the fact that he's using his ICE bully boys to deport/exprot/imprison people who have the legal right to stay in the USA. Yes, illegal immigration neds to be controlled but not at the expense of those who have gone thru the legal process and been accepted. As for gifts: And the question of benefiiting his business interests thru his presidential decrees, contracts and trips: And now he's lifted sanctions on Syria and they're building a Trump tower there. Clear grift. Plenty more transgression too.
