My physalis peruviana went out recently for its 2nd year. I got maybe 5 fruit off it last year but we are pretty shady. Its 1.5m tall already so im hoping it makes lots this year. It has stalled a bit but not as much as the tomatoes and peppers.
Unheated greenhouse eh! not bad for an amazonian plant.

My greenhouse, all planted up. I have a few more plants waiting to go out to the front of the house as soon as I pull the garlic. Courgettes will go out at the end of the month. PXL_20250518_085110249~2.jpg

Oh I feel for you @JWK. I had the exact same thing last year after using manure that had come from my field which was sprayed with DOXSTAR the previous season. It is not meant to be residual like PASTOR but it flaming well is.
The good news is if it is the same issue as I had, with my plants, once they grew through the offending infected soil, they started to improve. Yes the yield was down and one or 2 plants did not make it but not a total loss. If you have not yet replanted maybe try and remove about a bucket load of soil where each plant is growing and replace with soil, other manure, compost.
The other thing the manufacturers recommended without admitting anything!! was to water, water and water again to dilute any residue so hose the soil round the plants as much as you can.
DOXSTAR certainly worked a treat on Dock and other weeds in the field without affecting the grass but oh boy did it do damage to both my potatoes and tomatoes which are evidently highly susceptible to any kind of weedkiller. I have not bought DOXSTAR since but wonder if it too will now have a warning not to use manure from animals grazed on fields that have been treated.
There is no sign of any issues this year in either the greenhouse or where I used the manure on a veg bed. Hope your toms recover.

I wonder if my tomato poisoning is because I sprayed Jeyes fluid the day previous to planting. I had diluted it according to the label and watered it in then left it overnight before planting.

I thought Jeyes had changed their formula.

Jeyes fluid is different from the original stuff, but I think is says original on the can.

For starters it appear to be green in colour now where as it was black.

To everyone who grow their tomatoes in pots... do you guys wash and sterilise your pots every year? Or do you not bother? My tomato plants always end up with late blight and I like to make sure the pots are as clean as possible before the new ones go in. I've read mixed opinions and I'll probably get the same sort of responses here! But it would be really helpful to know what you all do. Thanks :)

                  I don't, and I've never had blight.

I think it smells the same as the old stuff but I don't have a very good sense of smell.

I've now planted all my spares in new holes. These are all half the size as I hadn't bothered potting them on. Will be a bit late getting a crop this year unless the main ones recover in pots, there are marble sized fruit on those.

I grow most of my Tomatoes in those potatoe sacks or in the ground. Those I grow in pots ( Tumblers mostly ) have never been cleaned with Jeyes or anything else. The only time I have had Blight was 3 years ago when 2 growing outside were affected.
Must afmit I think disinfectant can be over used - both in the garden and in the house.
