I am often puzzled by modern life.

Very odd attire in that ad photo. Both tops look like something from C&A circa 1970!

 

So what's wrong with C&A from the 70s.

I think the idea of the Ocado advert is to imply that you will be better able to enjoy "quality" time with your partner and over a meal if Ocado deliver the food saving you the stress and time of shopping yourself.

 

Nothing ... then! A tad odd now though. Olive green velour shirts aren't making a come-back, are they?

 

Or, in our case, he’s saying to her “You silly old moo, that’s the tenth can of sweetcorn you’ve ordered this month. Get a grip!” And she’s wondering where the other nine are, but laughing to keep him from knowing that she’s losing the plot and trying to pretend that it was all a joke…

 

Aah, so that's what they mean by "quality" time is it ? One more mystery solved so only another 100 or so more ad related ones to go then

 

Oh alright I'll get rid of it then, not sure it still fits, I think it shrunk.

 

@Tidemark most of the adverts on TV now are rapidly diminishing my will to live, so presumably funded by the Labour Government. Picking up on the Tena theme is the woman complaining about her 'Pee pants' and then shown on a blokes shoulders at a concert. Gross!

 

I haven’t watched the tv for years. Sounds like I’ve not been missing much.

I do take your point that ads could be a little more subtle when referring to such delicate matters though.

 

There is another gross advert I’ve seen (well, in my opinion) about under-armpits. Nothing seems to be private or personal about the ( female??) body anymore . I cringe almost daily .

 

And men, there is a ad where someone spray smell stuff on their balls
