Its a traditional item for an easy dessert around a campfire. Easy to bring, or pack. just find a few twigs in the woods and your good to go. In case you did not get how it got the name, its because everyone wants some more, and some more. etc.

Our cubs favourite was mini mars bars tucked inside a split banana, wrapped in foil and baked on the bonfire. A final night treat on camp

The thought of boys playing with their Woggles in the tent at night was enough for my Mum to ban us from camping.

I was a kid when they came out and as they were advertised as "educational", every kid got one.

We quickly discovered two failproof ways to solve it. :ideaIPB:

1: hold it tightly with two hands and like pulling an apple apart, break it. Re-assemble the pieces onto the central circular bit as desired.

2: Peel the stickers off and re-arrange.

            :)

I have never attempted or been tempted by a Rubik's cube; one of many things for which life is too short. Don't do computer games either tho I do remember their beginnings - shooting down little spacemen invaders as they descended a dumb screen. Never understood the appeal.

I used to get stressed out with those Christmas cracker things where you had to get tiny ball bearings into holes or hoops over spikes.

I've never been one to do anything that has no actual product, life is too short to do pointless things.

Well, the challenge was to get all sides in one colour- I'd call our approach as "creative problem solving"

I rather enjoy pointless things if they have a point of some kind (:th scifD36:), such as ordering things in a certain way and in particular if there are rewarding a-ha moments :). Jigsaw puzzles, killer sudokus, patience with real or computer cards...

                    Perhaps that's why I love Excel :)

                      I'd rather watch paint dry.

Sorry @pete , I'm afraid you have missed this. In Finland there was a dedicated 24/7 TV channel to livestream concrete drying. They are no longer on air as the aforementioned concrete is now dry, but you could perhaps leave a suggestion to diversify towards the paint field.

I'm not sure if they do subtitles though :noidea:

Whilst I'm waiting for things to download or print I usually play solitaire on the screen. I have it set on hard and haven't yet managed to break the one minute barrier. My best was exactly one minute. I find the challenge is not so much to get it to work out (100% record so far :fingers crossed:) but how quickly I can do it.

I'd never wish to draw attention to myself, but there are people who are at 3579 points on Grandmaster level on Spider solitaire
