This rose had a David Austin label on it saying The Pilgrim. I bought it at the weekly market in Ribérac, France, last year. It's a darker yellow than The Pilgrim with a much less pronounced pale edge. Could it be Charles Darwin? @Mrs Hillard do you know?

Your 'Ispahan' is looking great @lizzie27 .. I think it's the biggest one I've seen..

      @Busy-Lizzie
..thank you .. I'm not sure about your rose without seeing more of it as so many of their yellows all look the same from a single bloom.. I've lost my photos of 'Charles Darwin' but I remember it as being rather mustard yellow. Yours reminds me of 'Lichfield Angel' which is variable from white to yellow. Does your rose have many thorns? 'LA' is virtually thornless..
This was a 'Lichfield Angel' bloom.. the foliage looks similar but I really couldn't be sure at this stage..

      ..probably not actually..
The only yellow Austin like that I've not had is 'The Pilgrim'.. it's funny but I probably would have said that. I've had most of the others from Graham Thomas, Teasing Georgia, to Imogen, Nye Bevan, Charles Darwin, The Poet's Wife, The Country Parson, Vanessa Bell etc.. need to see more of what you have there in due course..

Thank you, @Mrs Hillard. I looked up Lichfield Angel but it is paler and some of the photos have a pinkish tinge. Your photos show it darker and yellower than the ones on the net. Also the leaves are longer. My rose's leaves are rounder, not so long. The flowers go more mustardy as they get older.

My rose hardly flowered last year. It was small when I bought it then it got eaten by deer. OH has raised the fences. I've had The Pilgrim and my daughter has it so I don't think it's that.

We have Lichfield Angel and the darkest it has ever been for me is a pale peach

If it goes more mustardy then it does sound like 'Charles Darwin'.. I didn't like that colour so I didn't keep it, but some do and find it quite unusual.. we shall look forward to more photos as it develops to get a better idea..

          A few pics for today..

Anyone else seeing Sawflies flying around and landing on the roses? I had a lot last year, not so many so far this Spring,.. but I think it's only a matter of time..

First blooms on Roald Dahl today.

You’re Beautiful in bloom, apparently this was Rose of the Year 2013. I can see why, it never seems to get blackspot and always has lovely glossy leaves and the flowers last for a long time, weeks not days like many of my other roses.

Hi. I hope it's OK to ask for rose ID help on this chat. My mum has asked me to try to find out what this rose might be. She cut the flower from my late nans garden/house, which is about to be sold and would like to buy one if she can find out what it is.
Its apparently got a lovely turkish delgiht fragrance and it is not a climber or rambler and is in flower now in S/W uk. I've looked at a few major rose sites and can't find anything quite right.
She wasn't someone who would spend a lot of money on anything.
                  Any help would be great.

@Magical Meeekat it looks rather like a Persica Rose as it has a darker eye and single flowers. Could it be "See you in Pink" or Eyes on Me"?

@Magical Meeekat would your mom be able to take the rose bush before the move is completed? Not the best time to move roses I know but I find them pretty tough and if well watered they can survive a lot that would kill weaker plants

Also worth trying some cuttings @Magical Meeekat if you can’t lift the whole plant. Not technically the right time of year but worth a try. It does look lovely
