Exactly @fairygirl, many cringe at the old adage "right plant, right place", but it's very true.

Being slightly cynical (who me? ), I reckon that many plant suppliers rely on giving the minimum amount of information so that novice gardeners continually return to buy more after their purchases fail .

@Plantminded I also think they only add info that they think will sell the plant. They seem to underestimate the size of plants quite commonly, probably in the knowledge most don't have massive gardens.

 

Yes, @Thevictorian, as an unregulated industry for marketing and advertising the unscrupulous will unfortunately do what they can get away with.
