Yes, I think the time span was/is 20 years used and unchallenged by anyone and you can safely register as the owner. Hope the householders look into all the legalities before the buldozers arrive.

If you were planning on doing some lusting don’t waste your time sitting an exam in a Nigerian university.

Not sure if it is the same in Scotland but when I lived in Edinburgh I lived in a Georgian flat in a conservation area. Opposite my block there was a gap with Georgian properties either side.It looked quite odd. Below the street level where the gap was, a joiner had his lockups there. He lived about 2 doors down from me.
One day I met him in the street looking very jolly and just about to get into brand new Bentley!! I said hello and asked how he was. He said life was wonderful, he had retired and was off on a long cruise, Holly hell alright for some!
I asked if he had won The Football Pools ( not sure if The Lottery was on the go then).
No was the reply but he had spent some time up at the land registry researching where his lockup was ( think his father may have had it before him). He discovered there was no title to the land where his lockup was so he wrote himself one. Move on I don’t know how many years and he sold it for development for ……..£1,000,000 back in about 1985.Wowcha. Now there are what look like Georgian flats built on the site. There are about 30 flats and they would all set you back over at least £750,000 each. This is the block. Looks old but isn’t.

I just hope there was more real evidence for an Iranian atomic bomb than there was for Iraqi "weapons of mass destruction" and I look forward to seeing it.

I think Israel would have done it themselves had they had the capabilities. In reality only the US could and the fact the B2 bombers took off from America and then returned there, rather than be stationed nearby, suggests they think they might hava done what they wanted.
The whole thing shows the UN is a joke, even Blair and Bush tried to get them involved before Iraq. It also shows how silly the world is at the moment. Countries were condemning Israel's attack as against international law but as soon as the big man gets involved, they suddenly become silent or just call for calm.

Glad I’ll be dead soon. Of old age or disease. Really. I can’t bear to think of what the future holds for the younger generation.

It funny @Tidemark , you certainly aren't on your own. I have had conversations with many people where they have shared the sentiment that they don't wish to go yet but they are glad they don't have to grow up in this world.

On the BBC today. Let the government give you £10,000 to put yourself up to be shot at.

“New soldiers should be offered a £10,000 bonus to rapidly boost troop numbers to deal with an increasingly unpredictable world, the Lib Dems have said.

The government should also distribute pamphlets to make sure every British home is "war-ready" and able to deal with blackouts and chaos caused by the outbreak of conflict or cyber-attacks, Lib Dem Leader Sir Ed Davey said.

The Lib Dems claim the plans will "urgently" boost the number of trained soldiers from just under 71,000 to more than 73,000.

In the face of a "barbaric" Russian President Vladimir Putin and an "erratic" US President Donald Trump, Sir Ed said the UK must be better prepared.”

                        Prepared for what?

If young people are going to be asked to risk their lives, there needs to be more on offer for them living here than huge student debt, zero hrs contracts, and insecure housing.
