@pete hmm red? That's odd. They were from ones I got as cuttings from @noisette47 a long time ago - I thought pink double. Mine has buds, but that's all. I'll see what colour they turn out this year!

OK its not a problem, just joking, but the first of the two cuttings I managed to root is flowering this year, second one did the usual dieback that I always get with them, so maybe that one could be pink.

@pete we had a pomegranate in the greenhouse that was getting too big and too soft, so dug it up and planted it out in a sheltered place in the orchard. No signs of growth. Lovely to see yours with so many flowers. Have you ever had any fruit?

No, fruit is unlikely as the growing season is not long enough, I have had a few fruits form but they never ripen or reach full size.
I often drive by one growing on a house wall, and although that was smothered in flowers a while back I still dont think it will produce any useable fruit.
      The flowers are nice.

The C. revoluta is having a flush, which is good as I have had them not make one every year.

Dont have all those different Adeniums that you have @Victoria but mine is starting to flower again, very pale colour though.

BoPs are opening new flowers every day now.

The Butia palm has 4 flower spikes this year, massive clublike things, really heavy.

Some good sized leaves forming on the Philodendron bipinnatifidium now and with the heat fairly fast.

The caudex just gets bigger, its nearly filling the pot I moved it into in 23, its a fairly massive plant I can hardly lift it but I' ve been watering more and its looking better.
I think I keep it too dry after killing off the other one I had by watering in winter.

That is how it should be. In the Winter you only need to water it once a month but keep it in a bright place. above 50c/10f. I am on a couple of Adenium Forums where they breed them ... and they are in the Central here.

Not sure how exotic but a few things looking good today that you dont see on every street corner.
First the Nerium oleander which @CarolineL sent me, it still looks red to me but a big double, maybe semi double flower with white flecks in the petals, I think this originally came from @noisette47 . DSC06734.JPG

Another plant, this time from @strongylodon a good few years ago, it was a seed raised Albizia that was supposed to be "summer chocolate" if I remember correctly, but it lost its dark foliage, and is always the first of the th
                ree to start flowering.
                DSC06727.JPG

At this time of the year I must include one more of the BoPs, I find them fascinating, ok two:biggrin: DSC06723.JPG DSC06725.JPG

                Watsonia, its exotic to me.
                Also from @CarolineL .

You're showing off how much better a gardener you are than me @pete!
My oleander is still in early bud. My BOP died a couple of years ago when we had a sudden frost (even though it was in a greenhouse) and that albizia is gorgeous. My watsonia is in full bloom though, and clashing with adjacent dieramas!

The only time I have seen this was years ago growing wild on the side of the road, and it was taller than me (5'2") .. .very faded and limp from the sun ...much better home grown!

My double, scented, variegated Oleander is still in bud. The Albizia is really doing well @pete, mine never did.
