    Hi @Pepe

No problem. This is the area I was thinking:

Admittedly, 2ft is a bit narrow, but the roots might also be able to reach out a bit towards the wider area. Having looked at it online, they can survive in 45 cm pots, so they might be OK with the narrow border.

I just measured the width of the border I have mine in and it's 115 cm, but that doesn't mean it needs that to survive. I have allowed it to get really big. At the moment it's at its least attractive phase but I love it overall.

The berries are fully formed and will be bright orange in autumn.

One year they even turned red.

Pyracantha will easily grow in a bed that width/depth, as will plenty of plants.

You could always turn it into an alpine garden or lay down some pretty gravel and put pots of herbs on it making sure any mint plant roots do not reach the ground.

I'd put an apple tree there. They're easy, you can get them with different maximum sizes and different shapes, you get cute buds and flowers in spring and after that you have the fun of watching the fruit develop - and then you can feast on them. When the tree's been there a two or three years the fruit will taste way better than anything you can get in the shops.

Would a Ilex argentea holly tree work on the other side?
