@NigelJ I absolutely agree and have every sympathy having survived 2 attempts myself and reported one. Neither was in the UK and the police were sympathetic. However, there are also cases of malicious reporting which do lasting damage. In the case of Gregg W it seems to be well substantiated that he is a complete idiot with no idea how to behave and the production company concerned let him get away with it - baffling given all the other cases that have hit headlines in recent years. They must have known it was unacceptable and GW is easily replaceable as a presenter. @Thevictorian the dilemma is probably to do with the consequences to the contestants of not showing the programme. Many winners and runners up end up changing their careers completely and go on to be successful chefs, cooks and writers after it's aired. Then you have to consider the reputations of all the big name chefs and food critics who contribute to the show as well as his fellow presenter, John Torode.
The Israelis have been ripping the Sh*t out of the place for years, the attack by Hamas was the excuse they were wanting to totally take over the place and make it part of Israel IMO.
Unfortunately if anyone says a word about Israel's tactics/behaviour, they are immediately classed as Anti Semitic. Plenty of Jewish people come under that title. Presumably, anyone in this country who questions/protests the govt. actions are guilty of anti British ??? Totally stupid.
My bins are only put out when they're full @ViewAhead. I can't see the point of wheeling them out every time a collection is due.
At least Ehud Olmert has the strength of character to say what a lot of people have been thinking but not daring to suggest.. MSN
The Israelis seem to be untouchable when it comes to criticism, it seems since WW2 you cannot say anything against them.
"A semite is a member of any of the peoples who speak or spoke a Semitic language, including in particular the Jews and Arabs." Unfortunately the term anti-semitism has been hijacked by the Israelis and twisted to mean those who disagree with us and our behaviour.
I did wonder why they had their own name for someone who doesn't agree with their ideas, I must be one of them then. No country or people are above criticism regardless of their history.
Next time you pull a carrot from the ground, hear it scream! Animals react to secret sounds from plants, say scientists
Eek, don't tell me that! I already fret about pulling out weeds and pruning things. Gardening definitely has a "cruel" aspect to it that I can't quite handle. Sometimes in a GC, I feel the overwhelming sadness I used to get as a child on visits to zoos. All that enforced captivity!
When working on plants we quite often tell them how good they are doing and thank them. It only needs to be in your mind and not out loud . People think I'm nutty enough anyway.
Poor carrots and potatoes - dig em up, skin them alive then boil them and if not dead yet you eat them.
