As ever you cannot admit when you were wrong. Your statement was copied perfectly. You said what you said. LOL.

Agree. I keep some dates around, pop one when I need a sweet treat, but in general I like savory things more. I can avoid donuts, cupcakes etc. Been eating a few squares of 80% chocolate bar, heard it is good for stem cells.

@CanadianLori don't worry too much as, according to Trump, every country on the planet is treating the US unfairly, being nasty, etc., etc. ad infinitum.
As for Asda mixing curry with pizza and chips - God help anyone who would even consider eating that.

Thank you @Philippa but I am not worried about us. I'm just puzzled as to how stupid some people in power can be! :rolleyespink:

Well today I've become scarily aware of how stupid some of our most senior health professionals in the NHS are. I'm following an employment tribunal for a nurse called Sandie Peggie, and these professionals are giving evidence. One by one they are claiming to not know what sex they are. This morning's witness said "It's a decision made at birth by the people delivering the baby, I believe. I'm not an expert at it.". She is a senior A&E consultant.

There's a most extraordinary little piece in the new issue of Amateur Gardening.

                Q. I've read that fuchsia berries are edible. Is this true?
                A. Yes, you can eat them ... However, as with all plants, we advise our readers to consult with a health professional before trying anything new in case of allergic reactions.

So how exactly would that work? We're supposed to bother our doctor whenever we want to try a new food? And how's the doctor going to know if we might be allergic to it?
I'm sure it's just backside covering, they are scared that if they say yes fine go ahead someone will choke on a fuchsia berry and sue them.

I tasted my fuchsia berries last year; they are like bigger, juicier pomegranate seeds. Not a lot of flavour, but refreshing, and they are very beautiful too.

One of them said she didn't know her sex because her chromosomes hadn't been tested, but she knew the trans doctor was definitely a woman, even though she didn't know what his chromosomes were either.

(It's kind of easy to guess, if they were XX he wouldn't be transitioning would he ...)

I'm currently watching the best film ever made. 'The Third Man'. When men were men, and women were women.
                    How very strangely uncomplicated.
Although it's director, Carol Reed, was a bloke.......

and small furry creatures were small furry creatures.

Carol was a unisex name being a derivative of Charles, cf Carolingian referring to Charlemagne. Only recently has it become used as a purely female name.
