Feeling sorry for myself, l have had to be on bed rest for the past week. I have had a Sciatica spasm that goes from my left hip to my ankle . I cannot lift my leg (dragging it, a look like Quasimodo)
I am drugged up to the eyeballs. So no gardening for me. Thank goodness I have someone coming over next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Hopefully l can get everything sorted out,

Ok not been on the forum for quite a while probably since late 2023, this is due to health as very little has been done. As a result last year the lawn was cut twice.
Now after some treatment I am slowly doing a bit more but some bits don’t work as well as they used to, I have plans but they will cost money so I will have to find a decent gardener.

Just had a tooth taken out ... it was causing pain and I'm glad to get rid of it.

I have a gardener now a few times a year to help. Several of us do.
Good to see you back and hopefully feeling better.

Well after 47 years the line for our rotary clothes line broke. However we are people who keep so many things that maybe useful in decades later! When we had dial up internet we had to have a very long cable to go from the plug in bit to the computer which was in another room. When this was all dismantled we kept the cable and now it is the new washing line!

We still have our internet hard wired, with cable running up the cavity wall from the phone socket, along a roof space and enters the upstairs office through the wall. I remember threading it through with hubby in the roof and me waiting for the end to appear downstairs. Luckily it came down between the right section of walling. Today we ordered a new router as our current one is over 10 years old and it gets very hot.

I wonder if you can still pick up the radio on washing lines!

I'm rival to the late Prince Philip for having my foot in my mouth :frown:

We have had some exitement in our street in the past days, the only house that is rather "shady" has had frequent police activity and today 4 police cars and a van marked with "police dogs" on it appeared. Council van appeared as well (on a Sunday!) and I think the coucil guy opened the door.

I'm not quite sure because my nose already hurts from being pressed to the window all day

Anyways the police knocked on my door to ask if out CCTV camera captures that door, and after I explained the camera is actually for decorative purposes only, I brightly asked "Is everything all right?"

How clever of me, what did I expect? Police officer to say they just while their day away sitting in their cars outside a random door for hours?

So that's where recent my Corydalis plants grew up. :) Nice to see their place of origin.

This is a small shop and yard they've got in Carmarthen. Your plants probably grew up in their nursery in Llandysul, about 20 miles north Carmarthen I think (never been there myself)
