I should know better

    After 50 years of owning house plants I should know better but yet I've still managed to kill this succulent by overwatering. Can I use these leaves for propagation? I've tried in the past but without success. Any tips will be most appreciated TIA 20250812_100314.jpg

    The ones that aren't soft/ going rotten at the base might take. Unless the rot has already set in and it's not obvious in the pic. Let them callus over for a few days and then use a very gritty free-draining compost. More info here.

      I did read somewhere that if you put them in a banana they will
      start to root.

          Is it an aloe, whatever, they look rotten at the base, most succulents that root from leaf cuttings grow roots at the point where they were removed from the stem.

          That area looks rotten to me .
