A bright and sunny 19 degrees, we went to go fishing on a reservoir up in the hills, it is closed to fishing due to being too low, I reckon at least 20 feet down on normal, never seen it so low.

Heard on the news this morning that the water company is about to spend millions building a syphon to get billions of gallons out of Bewel water reservoir into the river medway, not sure if I heard it right?

Cloudy again, but still dry and very warm. The weather radars show that a band of rain has just passed over, but although the clouds turned quite grey for a while we didn't get more than the occasional little spot. Not even drops visible on the paths. I suppose whatever little bit drops from the clouds has evaporated before reaching the ground.
Forecast worse tomorrow - sun coming out and temps up to 36C

It is quite warm already and not even 9 in the morning. The guessers say it will be going up to 32c with loads of humidity to boost the sensory tone!

IMG_1449.jpeg We have a garden clock with a thermometer included - probably not very accurate - and it was reading almost 50c in the full sun. Just glad that’s not the actual temp …..:roflol: sun has gone in and now it’s 40c

Bright sunshine but it's raining again! I'm trying to pick a moment to go out and do a quick job when it's doing neither of those things.

Does help if I told you that netweather has corrected it to 34c at 4 in the afternoon? Others say it will be only 30c. :)

More than £30 million upgrade at Bewl Reservoir - Water Magazine
The syphons will allow Southern Water to reduce the water level of the reservoir more quickly, if needed. For example, to carry out repairs to the dam or to reduce high water levels during periods of exceptionally high rainfall.

It's currently 30c and tonight it will be 24c at midnight, so we will be cooked in our beds.

The sky is a bit hazy and there is no breeze. It's 29c in the bedroom. Phew.

                              Same again tomorrow.
