I'm guessing it should be something we see more of, they even seem to survive around here near the coast, they just need leaving alone.

I've never seen a trailing Solanum, it's very unusual.

Looks like seeds pods coming @Victoria

These are my two Caesalpinia gillesii, they are not going to grow well in pots but too small to plant out . My Albizia Summer Chocolate bought two years ago doesn't grow much either bur I might plant it out next spring and hope for the best.

The Acacia which died back to the trunk two years ago and grew back a little the following summer went brown again after this last winter so it was cut off and has now filled out again. If there are some -7cs in the coming winter it will all die back again.

I planted out my Caesalpinia's at around that size @strongylodon, they never seem to get any bigger for me when in pots.

I am pleased with my Zebrinas this year, I've got a few of them and they usually look scrawny, but I put them in a perspex shelter and they've done better than ever. I think I'll put them there next year too .

I have tried them outside in pots in the summer, the leaf makings are so much brighter.

Yes I realized that @pete, but I thought it a good idea to have them as fillers between plants in tubs, as a change from Lobelia etc.

Perhaps not for really hot sunny areas, kind of dappled shade or early or late sun.
