What do you do if you see this growing in your garden or on a public footpath

i dont have time for that, it would just be growing to say i have it in my garden but im a bit confused about whether this is permitted in the UK. The other website said you can have seeds but not germinate them but i dont want to do that. Does anyone here have a seed collection ? will probably think of something else to grow

Im just comparing responses. In the other website the prevailing comments were that its probably hemp from bird seed so leave it but if its a male it should be removed as it can contaminate females that are within a mile radius. Very interesting to read about the issues male plants can cause . Nobody seems to have mentioned this issue on here though

It secreted itself amongst the kerria japonica. I couldn't work out why it didn't have any yellow flowers. Extremely fertile little garden. Even the peanuts sown by squirrels grew like weeds (note the plural)

I'm aware of it, but as this is not a forum for cannabis growers then why mention it.
I have a collection of seed as do most people on here; comes with gardening. Currently have a range of tomato seed, dahlia seed, green manure seed etc.
If you Google Afghan Seed you will find a number of suppliers who can supply a range of different varieties, many of which are described as feminised, however at £10 to £15 a seed, less if you buy 5 or 10 at a time, it's not cheap.
Most medicinial growers use clones grown from mother plants to obtain consistent product.
The cost of electricity is why many illegal growers bypass the electric meter.

@hi2u_uk I suspect you may have consumed too much in the past to accept sensible advice here. It's illegal and you won't get a usable druggy crop without investing in heat and light sources.

As for male plants messing with females, that trait is not confined to plants!

Yes - it was more the 'non question' and lack of proper response, rather than the plant existing that I found odd @NigelJ, but, as you say, getting an answer is always very difficult from the OP, as seen on other threads.
I use no mess mixes @pete , so the only thing I occasionally get is a little wheat seedling appearing, and they're easy enough to pull out.

Actually, yes, I only use sunflower hearts and fat balls but I did used to use the stuff that had 90% of seed that no birds around here ever eat.
        Weeds everywhere.

Agree with @NigelJ that this is not a forum for cannabis growers. If members do grow it, they are unlikely to advertise the fact on here. Better to seek advice elsewhere if that is what you are after.
As to being unsure about the legality, check with your local police - I'm sure they will prove helpful and may even offer you and your plant safe custody

Might even offer overnight accommodation depending on how many plants you have.
It should be budding up now if in the garden.

I have seen it grow from wild flower seed mix. In Nottinghamshire, I lived in a small village where farmers were paid to set aside big borders to plant with wild flowers. I noticed a thriving group of these plants on one area amongst the sunflowers, loose strife etc. They got to about 6 foot and looked impressive. It was only in about a 50m length of the set aside, which made me think they'd accidentally used different seed mixes. Nobody harvested them.
Were t the seed used for coarse fishing bait in the past?

                Yes especially Carp.
You can also easily buy Hemp seed for adding to your muesli mix or whatever.

Hippies in the 60s purchased bird feed seeds to search them for the appropriate seeds to plant. Maybe they still do!

Why when a quick internet search will throw up a range seed suppliers. These will sell you a named variety with known characteristics, just like you expect when you buy tomato seed or lobelia seed.

                  No internet in the 60s.
I have heard that occasionally seeds pop up in bought supplies of the stuff if you go through it before using it.
True or not I dont know.
