    IMG_20250903_155724.jpg IMG_20250903_155139.jpg Hi everyone

I've just found this growing in a pot, I know all acers are maples but I feel this is more like a tree rather than an ornamental acer if you know what I mean?

Also I'm wondering if this would be a candidate for using as a bonsai tree? It's about 12" tall.

Looks a bit like Norway maple rather than the common sycamore, perhaps.

Any tree is a suitable candidate for Bonsai.

We'll you learn something new every day, I didn't know a sycamore is a maple! That would make sense as we have a couple of sycamore trees growing on the green outside the house

It gets interesting, Acer pseudoplatanus is sycamore.
      Acer Platanoides is norway maple

Platanoides? In the US they call the Plane tree a sycamore I believe.
      Plane tree being Platanus.
